Story
The stuff that dreams are made of...a spectacular dinner ring with an Australian black opal in a setting that sets if off with the ideal amount of delicacy and shimmer.
From the famous Lighting Ridge opal mines comes this bodacious, multi-hued semi black opal of 6.87 opal. A cabochon oval shape possessing colors that are too numerous to list as almost all the rainbow is there from ember orange to mysterious royal purple.
Even in a myriad of similar sized color flecks all throughout the surface, move and new hues come to the fore and others recede. It is non-stop in most any light and in the sunshine, well stand back.
Worthy of its partner, the platinum setting will amaze with its intricate filigree and diamond surfaces. All together they total .87 carats throughout 118 brilliant old European cut diamonds (color H-I, clarity VS2-SI1).
Creating a platform of elegance for the opal, it is constructed with upright elements, filigree and two horizontal layers of yet more diamonds.
Even the underside was designed with beauty in mind as it presents a fretwork of open and pierced platinum that is just as pretty (almost) as the top!
