Story

Anyone familiar with auction houses or antique jewelry knows that earrings are "the" prize.

The most sought after and the often difficult to obtain, earrings often did not survive as well as other forms of jewelry. Loss, breakage, and the passage of time all contributed to their scarcity. Georgian era diamond earrings are especially at a premium.

These glorious three-part pendant earrings display 38 rose cut diamonds in each. Set closed backed, these are placed in silver, as was typical for the time as no other white metal was used in jewelry.

A captivating technique was utilized in which minute crimped edges results in an overall lacy effect. Note to the flat rose gold backs in a fine layer over silver, another characteristic of the era, to keep tarnish from clothing and skin.

A total of 76 diamonds adds their shimmer to the surface, with a sum of .50 carats with a color of J-M, and clarity of SI1-3.

Cascading in size, the shapes catch the eye and resemble a tassel or chandelier of light. In candlelight, watch these take on another persona!
