Story

Victorian in date and lovingly designed around 1860, this 18k gold ring features an opal, rubies, and diamonds.

In a navette shape with pointed ends, an Australian white opal really pops with color for its modest size. Bright and vivid rainbow hues come in and out of focus with every tiny movement. With a weight of .35 carats, it is a marvel the number of tiny kaleidoscope hues that appear within this one gemstone.

At each tip rest three cushion cut natural hot pink and pink-red rubies with a total weight of .18 carats for the six. A further eight rose cut diamonds curve around the east and west sides totaling .08 carats of glinting refraction, their color H-I, and their clarity SI1-3.

Pointed and engraved shoulders mirror the shape of the center. Impressed patterns enliven the surface then taper down to a slender shank
