Story
For the Victorian woman dressing was complete only when jewelry was worn. For daily wear, any length of earring, bracelets worn in pairs, multiple rings, a brooch here and there and, of course a necklace or long gold chain was appropriate.
The cross, and often one featuring equal arms, was virtually the pendant de rigueur as a statement of fashion and of faith. Designs ranged from the emblematic Latin cross to the cross of St. George or even the Maltese cross.
This striking example in 9k rose gold places the gemstones front and center. Medium deep in saturation, they are all hand faceted, oval, and each with its own personality with no two exactly shaped alike.
With 12.5 carats of weight in total, hues range from deep grape to light lilac highlights. Clear and sparkling, they are each set within a 9k rose gold pinched collet or bezel.
