Story
Art Nouveau aesthetics infuse this superlative and generous-sized silver slide locket.
It is easy to envision this being worn at its heyday circa 1900 amid the lyrically designed iron ornamental subway entrances, gates, and stone front buildings of Paris.
Double-sided, two large iris flowers, and their two leaves grace to the tops of the locket. Exaggerated whiplash raised curves of silver are entwined and interlace together covering the left sides of the oval.
Slide lockets are meant to do just that, slide or fan open from the bottom to reveal beveled mirrors wtihin each interior compartment. A very fine example of pure Art Nouveau.
