There is no more iconic symbolic motif of the Art Nouveau era than the female profile with sinuous whiplash curved hair.
In 14k yellow gold, this 3/4 female profile facing left portrays a young woman with a halo of tresses around her entire countenance. Curving, kinetic and dynamic, her locks spread around her in wild abandon.
A jewel with multiple purposes, it can be worn as a brooch or a pendant and also has a watch hanger fitting. Alternately, this could be utilized to suspend a pearl, a diamond or other drop.
Two natural saltwater creamy white pearls adorn the left and right, with a tiny demantoid garnet in her hair and another petite diamond placed below. Circa 1900, it is in superb condition for its long life.
