Story
Diminutive and feminine, this 14k gold pendant represents a cluster of grapes and leaves.
With translucent multi-hued enamels, natural freshwater pearls and gold, it is a realistic miniature impression of fresh picked grapes.
Lemon yellow, lime green, and hints of salmon enamel cover the grape leaves. Freshwater pearls denote the grapes which spray downward, each average 3-4 mm.
Fruitful abundance, harvest, and the fruition of hard work - the connotations and symbolism of grapes are many and varied. Created long ago by the Newark firm of Bippart, Griscom and Osborn, this pendant dates to circa 1900.
