The view from the island of Crete is breathtaking. It is like no other as you look into the waters of the Mediterranean Sea with its deep azure blue.
Challenging that coloration is a very fine blue sapphire set within this 18k Art Deco white gold halo ring. Strong bright highlights deep within the gemstone play against the reflection of light generated by each of the facets on the surface. The 1.47 carat stone is round in shape and set with 4 prongs.
Beautifully set around the sapphire is a halo of 9 old European cut diamonds of 1.53 carats (H-I color; VS2-SI1 clarity) lighting up the vibrant blue stone with fire and glitter. Radiance is a byword and in person the ring is unstoppable as an engagement ring or everyday beauty.
The gallery supports a series of crown settings for the diamonds. The shoulders have engraved wheat sheaf patterns on the top and sides. Sapphires and diamonds may be the perfect match for a magnificent hand adornment.
