Wise in the ways of the world, this antique owl brooch of sterling silver displays an expressive nature through texturing and modeling. Every feather of our avian friend has been artfully delineated and rendered almost life-like. Deep set enamel eyes gaze intently forward, the beak is enameled black.
Formerly gilded (vermeil or gold over silver) the lower third of the brooch shows more golden tones, the top more silver.
