Story

Flamingos with their curvaceous lines and flaunt-it-all attitude serve as the chosen theme for this heart stopping one-of-a-kind Art Nouveau bracelet.

With their bills reaching to the ground, these feathered wonders stand amidst lush tropical foliage. Created in 14k gold, the designs are produced in relief and pierced work within arched rectangular panels.

Lotus or lily flowers and their heart shaped pads emblazon the four plaques. You can almost hear the calls, cries and chatter of the myriad of surrounding life in this waterscape.

Austrian in origin, this vintage bracelet typifies designs of the 1940's with influences based upon the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras.

Aptly chosen, Amazonite decorates the alternating links. Its translucent, summery green hues with alabaster white marbling reinforce the exotic theme. Amazonite is indeed mined in South America near the river from which its name derives, but is also found in Austria.

Hand made, each plaque has the variations of the artist's vision. Hand engraving embellishes the clasp and edges of the bracelet.

Note: Amazonite belongs to the same family of minerals as sunstone and labradorite.
