Story
Pavé turquoise against luminous yellow gold...a Victorian "must have" during the 1870s and even more breathtaking today for its immaculate condition and its à la mode style.
Refreshingly modern in its design, bold geometry, complimentary colors and smashing a scale rate a 10 for fashionistas and collectors everywhere.
Created in 14k yellow gold, the necklace consists of a moon cut ball chain with three circular shaped dangles within a festoon of more chain. Each round pendant's smashing good looks is defined by the archaeological revival styles of the day including applied bead work (granulation), wire work and pavé turquoise.
The fronts are domed and decorated with half cabochons of robin's egg blue Persian turquoise. Square plinths of gold also hold turquoise gemstones.
The three round pendant drops have locket compartments to the reverse. Two are covered with rock crystal and one with glass.
With a moon cut ball chain, each tiny hollow orb slides every so slightly back and forth, a little marvel of engineering and painstaking craftsmanship.
