SPECIAL MARKDOWN!
An exquisite Egyptian revival locket takes its cues from the 1900s with its stylized "Queen of the Nile" female profile.
A beautiful queen or princess faces right and is adorned with a feathered headdress of a bird motif with its head, body, feathers and wing outlined. The forehead area is trimmed in diamonds imparting a hint of glitter (.05 carats, H-I color, SI1-2 clarity). Lappets of regal cloth drape down her neck.
Raised above the subtly concave surface of the pendant, she is surrounded by elegant papyrus fronds encircling her visage.
Opening from the top down and hinged at the bottom, the interior has one photographic compartment. The reverse is engraved with ornate, entwined initials of JKA (the middle initials is often the last name) that add a lyrical touch.
With the look of 18k from its bloomed finish, it is in fact 14k.
