Story
Conjuring up images of blossoms swaying in the spring breeze, this yellow gold ring is quintessentially Art Nouveau. A favorite gem of the period, the exceptional blue moonstone cabochon joins the mounting of 14k gold in a pas de deux for the soul and heart.
Very fine and with a vivid blue flash, this 2.25 carat oval moonstone displays its mysterious nature in a clear and evident display of dancing lights of azure. In a setting designed to represent nature in a stylized fashion, there are curves and floral asymmetrical flowers along with graceful curves.
The scalloped bezel surrounds the electrically hued gem with a quiet rhythm as the other aspects of the mount excite with an undercurrent of action and rhythm.
Part of the Newark jewelry cabal, Allsopp Brothers was the creator and they were designers and manufacturers of fine jewelry from around 1900.
