All moonstones, as with any natural gemstone, have subtle variations in type and color. Some moonstones possess a pure white glow, others gray, and often the one that ranks high on the desired list is the blue variety.
In this vintage ring, we have it all...size, clarity and a fabulous and steady flashing hot blue flames of adularescence. Magical and hard to comprehend, this oval cabochon moonstone is so clear that when you're wearing it, at moments when you see your finger through it.
Then you move, or the eye shifts, and wow, that azure band of inner light that runs the entire length of the gem, pops and surprises. At 7.2 carats, it is an impressive but wearable scale and to leave all the focus where it belongs, is set into a clean, 14k yellow gold bezel.
The shoulders form a "V" with small linear patterns to each side and then each tapers down to the slim band. Absolutely divine!
