Story
What period of jewelry do you gravitate towards? Some of us just love one style over another, and some of us adore them all! For those with a passion for early jewelry, this is a rare and affordable treat.
In the Iberian region of Spain and Portugal, a style of ring arose in the 18th century that continued into the 19th. This form is a cluster arranged in tiers or layers of petals of precious metal. In this case 9k yellow gold is artfully arranged in three levels.
Studded with oval and round faceted rubies. Each of the petals' edges are serrated, imparting an ornate touch to the whole. A rub over, crimped collet hugs the center ruby and all are set close backed. A total of 1.80 carats of rubies come alive with shades of deep, hot fuchsia to lighter shades of mulberry.
A later slim shank and under gallery have been added to the original top cluster.
