Story
Iconic of the early 1900s and American jewelry, the designers of this jewel have taken a lush, royal amethyst and added textured vibrant gold and natural freshwater pearls in the creations of a brooch of distinction.
The eye moves from the lustrous pearls to the oval faceted amethyst and up and around the curvilinear matte surfaces of the setting. In 14k yellow gold (looking far more like 18k), the amethyst reads vibrant and enticing at 3.25 carats.
On each side in a horizontal presentation are three, alabaster white natural seed pearls each of about 3 mm in diameter.
The exceptional design takes inspiration from nature with suggestions of leaves and abstracts those elements for an undulating brooch circa 1910.
