Story

“A” is for adorable as well as the first name of your beloved. Nicely proportioned, a vintage locket pendant is made from 14k yellow gold.

This fantastic locket is what we refer to as new old stock — the term used when fortune brings forth authentic vintage or antique inventory which was never sold or worn. This example is made by Lucien Piccard and still has its original tag in place when the 1940s price was $65.00 - an expensive item in its day!

Round in shape, the pendant features an uppercase letter “A” set with thirteen cultured half pearls each 4 mm in diameter. Surrounding the letter is yellow gold open work letters cryptically spelling out the words “Adorable”. We love that it so subtle you have to really look for it.

The piece is opened by pressing through an opening in the front (or using the rounded end of a paperclip) to pop out the curved Plexiglas back to insert a photo or keepsake.

Note: With its original tag from Lucien Piccard. Black insert is plastic and original. Ask about our small collection of lockets of this series, some in yellow gold, others in palladium. Initials B, K, J, R, & S.
