SPECIAL MARKDOWN!
Cannetille gold work is one of the wonders of the antique jewelry world. Its tiny beads of gold atop florets of wirework spirals almost defies the imagination in how it was produced. No artist today is able to recreate this feat of mastery.
Composed of 15k and in two elements, the surmount is a study in the use of beads in the cannetille manner. It supports an open work design drop consisting of a lace-like form embellished with a multiplicity of burr, floret and bead motifs. Although appearing quite luxurious in weight, these cannetille forms are lightweight.
Turquoise half cabochons provide a touch of vibrant color and visual interest. An unusual medium length provides wearability for everyday or evening, the shape so flattering to most any wearer.
Possess that which is truly one-of-a-kind.
For similar cannetille work see the book, "Earrings From Antiquity to the Present" by Mascetti & Triossi on page 94.
