Perhaps a new name, the floating halo ring might do. An antique old mine cut diamond of 1.25 carats (I-J color; SI2 clarity for a clear inclusions off the side) rests nestled within the contours of a platinum bezel accented with mille grain work.

Encircling the main diamond as the band around the planet Saturn is a series of sixteen vintage single cut diamonds, total weight of .20 carats (H-I color; SI1-2 clarity). Larger single cuts appoint the cardinal points, giving the overall composition a harmonious symmetry.
