Jewelry from the Edwardian period (1890 – 1920) took on a graceful, light and elegant appearance. Femininity and delicacy were the trademark design elements.
Understated grandeur is clearly apparent in this 14k yellow gold pendant. A gentle open work rendering of a flower motif allows for leaf shapes and textured gold work to be displayed to their finest. Curves and arches encapsulate the essence the period in a circular form .
Dotted about are twenty-two natural freshwater seed pearls, each approximately 1 to 2 mm in diameter, imparting that sense of innocence and sweetness associated with these gems. Concentric circles of gold range in size with the centermost accented with a diamond.
At the apex a small circular surmount, also set with a diamond, echoes the composition of the pendant.
