Story
This is not your typical cut for a white opal…the Art Deco era 18k yellow gold and platinum-topped ring displays an unusual faceted cabochon cut. Perfect use of geometrics for the circa 1925 ring, the gem is beautifully coordinated with a rectangular frame.
The four-sided platinum surround is appointed with fourteen single cut diamonds, total weight of .28 carats (H-I color; VS2-SI1 clarity) set amidst a textured surface.
Split shoulders of 18k yellow gold are accented with an open circle element and combined with an under-gallery pierced with open triangular forms. A slender yellow gold shank finishes the unusual ring.
