Story
Tanzanite is found in just one place…its namesake country, Tanzania near the hills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Discovered in 1967, the gem was given its name by Tiffany & Co. and hailed as “the gemstone of the twentieth century”. No wonder as its deep blue color ranges from blue-violet to ultramarine blue with hints of purple.
Like the eyes of Elizabeth Taylor, these two oval faceted tanzanites of a total 6.29 carat total glow with a blue violet color only nature can provide. Each earring is accented at the apex with a brilliant cut diamond (two in all with a total weight of .24 carats, I-J color and VS2-SI1 clarity).
The minimalist 14k white gold setting is the perfect architecture to show off the fine points of these stud earrings.
