Story
The pairing of 10k gold and a fiery white opal serves as a treat for the eye in this Edwardian era ring. During the Middle Ages, the opal was considered a gemstone that provided great luck.
This .60 carat opal cabochon (7.8 x 5.6 mm) shows off a broad pattern of green-blue flashes of brilliance when set against the warmth of pale rose gold. The shoulders have been appointed with designs which include engraved patterns and a three elements which conclude and smoothly merge into an unembellished shank.
The maker is J.R. Wood & Sons of New York; the company later became Art Carved.
