Story
The Victorians loved their foliage whether be it appointing the parlor, the grounds or even the jewelry they wore.
This petite box locket of 15k yellow gold details the ornate decorative design of that period. Both the front and the back are covered with images of flowers and leaves along with scrolling motifs.
Chasing is a metal work technique which is often used in conjunction with repoussé. Literally the opposite of one another, chasing refines a pattern from the front of the piece by pushing into the metal. Repouseé from the reverse.
The interior reveals a compartment complete with rim and glass cover in which to place a photograph or other memory.
