Story
Tourmalines are related to aquamarines and emeralds. This versatile stone comes in a range of color including green to yellow and all in-between with even one variety with a series of different color zones within one stone.
Quintessentially Retro in design, this 2.1 carat emerald square cut pink tourmaline makes its bold and beautiful statement as the featured attraction in vintage 18k white gold. Perfectly aligned in a square bezel with corners brushed by prongs, the blushing gem takes its place within an array of glittering diamonds.
Diamonds? Were diamonds mentioned? Ah, yes, thirty (30) brilliant cut diamonds, total weight of 2.24 carats, fabulous H-J color and SI2-I1 clarity engulf the pink tourmaline with fire and shine.
At each cardinal point in square bezels of their own a brilliant cut of .15 carats (total .60 carats) plants a claim to a series of twenty-six (26) additional brilliant cuts set in a triple row of gold. These range in size from .10 to .03 carats apiece.
The center row has been elevated using a white gold arch as support. Given the total carats of the ring, a substantial shank was designed to distribute the weight of the gems. Fine craftsmanship and attention to details places this period ring in a category of its own.
