Story
Rare indeed is the ruby that possesses the true red conjured in our mind's eye when we think of this illustrious gemstone. Most are pink or nearly maroon in color and are often dense and cloudy. But these five gemstones are the exception. To describe their coloration in the vernacular of “pigeon’s blood” accurately encompasses their special nature.
Five (5) oval faceted no-heat rubies are graduated in size. The largest at .70 carats, two weigh in at .40 carats and two at .25 carats — adding up to a feast-for-the-eyes 2 carats. With excellent clarity, nothing stands out to mar their natural essence.
Hue and color saturation are the real stand-outs with rich, deep coloration. Overall, the bright highlights and well faceted stones are simply breathtaking. Arranged within 14k yellow gold, the warm glow of the precious metal enhances the total effect.
Arcs of crystalline white shimmer in the form of eighteen (18) graduated in size brilliant cut diamonds, total weight of 1.04 carats (G-H color; VS clarity). Each is set in 14k white gold.
A Stone Group Laboratory certificate accompanies the ring, stating that the rubies exhibit no thermal (heat) enhancement or treatment.
