Realistic and virtual foliate designs on this silver bangle appear to jump right out at the viewer. A series of deeply engraved panels form an undulating surface to this lyrical bracelet.
Marvelously varied in width and composition, the engraved images draw the eye from one to the other. Highly detailed, each is visually joined to the other with the use of a zigzag or saw-tooth form accenting each section.
A most sentimental message in the Czech language, “Vuponminku Gerticka Plein, 1947” (With Memories Gerticka Plein, 1947) is hand inscribed in ornate script.
