SPECIAL MARKDOWN!
What better icon of love and bonding than two hands clasped over a heart? Legend has it the Italians gave the fede ring its label — originally derived from the Italian “mani in fede” or “hands in faith”.
Over time the fede and gimmel ring have been molded into a ring of similar motif with the gimmel designed with two or more bands joined with a minute pin acting as a pivot. This has symbolized two people bonded as one.
Though culture and custom have changed, this specific style of ring never ceases to elicit emotion. Rendered in silver, three bands swivel outwardly from a small fulcrum. The middle one has a small heart centered with the top and bottom bands each featuring a right hand with a cuff — one with ruffles and the other more tailored and closed with a button or link.
