Story

Lean and linear, reaching for the skies with 7.5 carats, this step cut rectangular amethyst with cut corners boldly shows off proportions of 1.8 by 9.3 by 7.2 mm. The gem displays very fine coloration with deep saturation and bright violet highlights.

Very much a part of Art Deco, the step cut amethyst is set in an open work 14k white gold mounting. Centered double claws secure the gem with bow-like appointments embellishing the sides. Vertical stiles and sensuous curves are the mainstay of the supporting structure of the mount.

All along the the sides of the shank deeply embossed wheat sheaf patterns taken on an arrow-like element. A ring for a princess without a royal cost.
