Story
Relatively scarce, green colored amethyst is referred to as prasiolite or vermarine. Not related to the any of the other green gems such as emerald, tsavorite or tourmaline, this crystal is a member of the quartz family.
Pear shaped elements of pale almost mint green prasiolite weigh in with a total 12.55 carats. Elongated and elegant, the translucent gems are surrounded with a glittering border of one hundred thirty-four (134) diamonds of a total weight of .51 carats (I-K color; SI1-2 clarity).
Included are two (2) brilliant cut diamonds situated at the apex of each stone. The remaining one hundred thirty-two (132) are single cut diamonds. Each of the earrings is fitted with an articulated 14k white gold bezel set with eight single cuts.
A minimalist under-carriage of white gold provides a strong foundation for the earrings.
