Moonstones with a blue adularescence (blue sheen) are rarer than their cousins. The 1.8 carat gem featured in this Edwardian era ring is cut in an oval cabochon with a high dome. A profile like this enables that magical shimmer to be displayed evenly across the entire surface of the stone.
Adding to the aura is a surround consisting of twelve (12) old European cut diamonds with a total weight of 1.2 carats (I-K color; SI1-3 clarity for clear inclusions). Sparkling and bright, the combination of a blue moonstone and diamonds placed in a 14k yellow gold mounting makes for a spectacular ring.
A slender shank completes an overall feminine profile for a period ring. Please note to the interior is a series of hand engraved initials “A.M.L.W.”
