Story
Not only was vibrant bold color a major decorative aspect of Art Deco but the use of black and white played a prominent role in the tonal schemes.
Everywhere you looked there were bracelets galore. Here is a festive example with 10k white gold filigree taking precedence. In all, ten single links and a pair of double links encompass the wrist with a linear labyrinth of stylized open work X forms.
The major attraction is a 16 by 12 mm onyx plaque with cut-off corners. The eight-sided medallion is center set with a .05 carat single cut diamond (I-J color; VS1-SI2 clarity) placed in a lozenge shaped bezel with incised lines all around.
Surrounded by a white gold border, the outer edges of the shiny black onyx contrast beautifully with vine-like filigree work. Single links are joined by an elongated circle of incised gold and the center plaque is secured by open arches.
