Story
Straight from the Victorian era, fringed or tassel pendants were all the rage around the 1860s. This example crafted in 14k yellow gold is of two parts — the main element is an elongated orb beautifully decorated with engraved leaves and geometric forms.
A raised band is set with four (4) rectangular cut amethysts of .35 carats each (total of 1.4 carats) which alternate with panels incised with decorative patterns. Suspended from the main body is a group of foxtail chain fringe surmounted with an engraved 14k yellow gold cap.
Great articulated motion and lovely designing characterize this period pendant.
