Story
Edwardian designers created jewelry as art. This pendant of 14k yellow gold clearly supports that contention. It is a wonder how work so fine can be rendered in such small proportions. Twisted wire work is the foundation for the structure of this open work golden orb.
In between the rope work overlays or appliqués of large and small daisy flowers making up the surface of the pendant. From centers of textured gold, cream colored enamel petals radiate in all directions.
At the bottom a gold orb projects, balancing the symmetry of the attached bale. An additional “O” fitting is affixed to the top. Accompanying the pendant is a modern 14k serpentine chain.
