Story

SPECIAL MARKDOWN!

Based in Beverly Hills, William Ruser designed series of bejeweled gold pendant charms featuring children, animals and various other subjects.

His work was embraced by the historical glitterati of Hollywood such as Marlene Dietrich, Loretta Young and Joan Crawford as well as commissioned by the major motion picture studios to design precious jewelry for various films.

A whimsical little cherub uses a freshwater baroque pearl as cushion. Seated with his legs crossed and his chin resting upon his hand, his round faceted sapphire eyes of .01 carats each appear as though deep in thought. All in 14k yellow gold from his haloed head to his tiny toes, this little guy is a true treasure to behold.

Notes: Ruser began his jewelry career in the 1920s at the New Jersey branch of Trabert & Hoeffer-Mauboussin. He moved to Beverly Hills to manage a California branch of the firm.

After WWII he opened his own firm on Rodeo Drive and continued until his retirement in 1969 with the selling of his business to Van Cleef & Arpels.
