A hexagonal matrix employs crisp lines to show off the fine craftsmanship and precious materials in this fabulous diamond and sapphire ring. An old European cut diamond of 1.51 carats (M-N color; VS2 clarity) reads white and impressive to the eye and is centered in a mille grain accented platinum bezel.
Adding contrast to the main gem is a surround of twenty-four (24) calibre cut sapphires with a total weight of .50 carats. A halo of thirty-six (36) sparkling brilliant cut diamonds emphasizes the six-sided configuration of the ring. Adding just a touch more glamour and glitter are eight (8) additional brilliant cut diamonds, four on each split shoulder bringing the total weight for forty-four (44) brilliant cut diamonds to .30 carats (I-J color; VS2-SI1 clarity).
Notice the scalloped under-gallery and the marvelous open work foliate motif to the reverse. All in all, forty-five (45) diamonds with a total weight of 1.81 carats join .50 carats of bright blue sapphires in a joyful expression of aesthetics and style.
