Tourmalines come in a variety of colors including blue, yellow, red and green. No two of these sparkling colored stones are exactly alike. Even the ones which share the same hue are actually different.
This example of the gemstone has the color of begonia pink kissed by raspberry. Beautifully suited to a marvelous mounting in platinum, the 3 carat tourmaline is placed within an eight-sided bezel. Dotting the ornate and pierced setting are six (6) old European cut diamonds with a total weight of .30 carats (H-J color range; VS2-SI1 clarity) adding spotlights of brilliance.
Shoulders are accented with stylized tulip shaped appliqués and mille grain work throughout the mount. The under-gallery displays gentle curves and open spaces lending a most feminine look to the finely worked setting.
