Story

The ethereal feminine qualities for which Edwardian era (c. 1890-1915) jewelry is recognized and coveted is on display for all to see in this pair of 14k yellow gold earrings. Perfect symmetry of form employs positive and negative space to convey a sense of delicacy and lightness with natural saltwater pearls and diamonds.

A large button pearl with attached old European cut diamond takes on the role as surmount in suspending a series of graduated pearls in an open teardrop form accented with a round pearl at the very bottom tip. Within the open space an articulated baton of 14k yellow gold concludes with another old European cut diamond conjoined to a modified drop shaped pearl.

Both earrings consist of a total of forty-four (44) natural saltwater pearls with a creamy white luster and four (4) old European cut diamonds of an estimated total diamond weight of .05 carats. Shepherd’s crook ear wires complete the luscious antique earrings.

Date: Circa 1900.
