The type of cluster ring is often referred to as a halo ring. It is certainly no stretch of the imagination as to why this classic look has been renamed yet the timelessness of the style remains. As the moon's revolutions around the earth effect its tides, so too will this ring's impact on your psyche be profound.
This supremely designed ring combines early 20th century diamonds with a most fabulous platinum mounting. An old European cut diamond of .64 carats (I-J color; SI1-2 clarity for a clear inclusion on the very edge only visible with magnification) is wrapped in a mille grain accented platinum collet. Regally set, the centered diamond appears to be floating within an open circle framed by a surround of seventeen (17) old European cut diamonds.
The halo expands the appearance of the center diamond by as much as a half carat or more. All set into most delightful pierced and open work platinum under gallery with scroll designs galore. Open shoulders each set with an old European cut diamond bring the total estimated diamond weight for nineteen (19) diamonds to .19 carats and to .93 carats for the ring.
Date: Diamonds are earlier 20th century, mounting is modern.
