Story

Crossover rings by virtue of their design seem to suggest an embrace. When diamonds and pearls are the gemstones of choice the embrace shifts to a hug of a lifetime. Innovators around 1890 developed a popular form of ring, the crossover or bypass.

Feminine and beautiful in overall construction, two lustrous cultured pearls in the range of 5.5 and 6 mm are each drawn into a silver-topped 18k rose gold cap encrusted with seven (7) rose cut diamonds. From the caps diamond-studded stems evolve into the sides and flawless shank of the ring. In all, a total estimated diamond weight of .62 carats, all white at I-J color and with SI1-3 clarity include ten (10) unusual square old single cut and fourteen (14) rose cut diamonds. Flawlessly chic.

Date: Circa 1890.
