This is one masterful rendering of an Art Deco engagement ring. Using the format of a cluster ring, an old European cut and eight (8) old single cuts unite to form an 8 mm by 8 mm area of shimmer within an octagonal mille grain accented bezel. If it were one diamond, it would be 2.5 carats!
Together the nine (9) diamonds have an estimated total weight of .30 carats (I-J color; SI1-2 clarity). The flower configuration, lovely within the geometric form is embellished with bows on the sides of the open work filigree mounting. Overall, the 18k white gold mount is substantial and august in weight yet quite feminine in appearance.
This is the ring for those who wish to impress!
Date: Circa 1930.
