Story

There are any number of individuals who have become enamored with a specific precious gem. Of course the diamond has its own following, as does the trinity of ruby, emerald or sapphire.

Nonetheless, there is a select group of connoisseurs who have a life-long love affair with topaz. Frequently mistaken for one or another gem, the topaz has its own unique qualities which draw certain individuals. Although the gem comes in several varieties of color, this natural topaz evokes images of nights lit by the warm pale golden tones of candle light.

Emerald cut into a most respectable estimated 3.6 carats, the honey wheat colored stone is set into a platinum mounting with only platinum prong tips gently securing each of the four corners. No need for more as the gemstone speaks for itself.

Date: Circa 1970.
