Story

The old European cut diamond in this finger ring will immediately catch your eye. But what really sets this apart is also the use of emeralds for accent stones. Even sapphires aren't so easy to find in antique rings, but emeralds...well we only find a few a year!

Set in a mounting of 14k white gold, the glittering gem appears even more generous than its actual weight due to the close proximity of the accent diamonds. Hard to detect where one starts and another begins, its actual weight of .56 carats (I-J color; VS2 clarity) radiates from within. An additional four (4) diamonds, single cuts, contribute their weight for a total .62 carats for the ring. Accenting the central diamond are eight (8) synthetic emeralds – channel set on each side in a group of four (4). Please note that the use of synthetic colored stones was typical for the time period. An intricate and orate setting and precise geometry just make this sumptuous Art Deco ring.

Date: Circa 1930.
