Story

This hallmarked ring of 14k yellow and white gold has a construction which is amenable to stacking, or also ideal worn solo or paired with an engagement ring. The front is appointed with a series of seven (7) brilliant cut diamonds with total estimated weight of .56 carats. The gems are white and shimmering with H-I color and VS2 clarity. Beautiful in their overall look, this is a slightly wider variation of this type of band, not too thin and not too wide. Hallmarked for the firm of Feder and Baumstein.

Date: Circa 1975.

Historical Note: Harvey Feder and Irv Baumstein of New York City were known for their jewelry from the 1940s and through the late 1980s. They designed the original lion’s head ring which was immensely popular as well as a number of other animal motif jewelry. In addition, the firm had a very fine line of bridal and engagement jewelry.
