Story

Founded in 1886, Krementz and Company of Newark continues today with its manufacture of fine jewelry and accessories. The firm was known for its excellent craftsmanship, designs and fine detailing. The company came to fruition when the Art Nouveau movement was in full flower.

Stylistically, this 14k yellow gold brooch and watch pin falls into that category with its use of sweeping dynamic curves and kinetic juxtaposition of asymmetry within harmony. Organic in form, the brooch is appointed with enamel in shades of soft teal, yellow and green melding one into the other without disruption. At specific points the stylized flowerhead is visually accented with an old mine cut diamond and four (4) natural sapphires. The reverse reveals the brooch fittings and watch hook from which a removable drop can be suspended.
