Story

The Art Deco period is a style within a style. Sometimes easily identified; other times not so easy. What stands out is the use of geometrics whether overt or subtle. Here the forms and shapes of geometry catch the eye in an understated fashion.

An old European cut diamond of .15 carats (color H-I; VS2-SI1 clarity) is centered within a square 14k white gold setting. Flanked on each side with a total of twenty (20) single cut diamonds they are placed in a veritable bounty of linear and gently arched configurations to bring the total estimated diamond weight to .35 carats. The white gold topped 14k yellow gold mount accentuated the color contrast often associated with the period. A perfect delicacy of a treat for the hand.

Date: Circa 1925.
