Story

A beautiful example of an early cluster ring, the centered diamond is a wondrous early square cut similar to a French cut, measures 5.5 mm by 5.5 mm and is estimated to be .70 carats. The surround consists of old mine cut diamonds and one (1) rose cut. More so, the top and bottom diamonds (set north and set) are almost heart shaped. In all, the total estimated diamond weight of the ring is 1.4 carats yet the diameter of the entire cluster is akin to the size of a diamond of 6 carats. The gems are all foiled and set closed back in the traditional silver. The cup holding the diamonds and the shank are 18k yellow gold and more modern in age.

Important: Foiled jewelry should not be exposed to water for any extended period of time nor soaked in any other liquid. In addition, avoid steam cleaning.

Date: Circa 1790 for the cluster; more modern for the shank.
