Story

Glorious in its design and outcome, this 18k white gold ring speak volumes on the finger. At its center is an old transitional cut diamond of .15 carats (H-I color, VS1-SI1 clarity) and two companion diamonds each of .05 carats. Two more accent single cut diamonds dot the points of the ring for a total diamond weight of .28 carats. Twenty six intricately cut and faceted synthetic sapphires lines the channels of each side.

The use of tiny sapphires for design purposes was perfected in the earlier part of the 1900's. Often too emeralds or rubies were used. Tiny channels have been formed of 18k white gold and inserted are these precisely fit faceted synthetic sapphires. Synthetic sapphires were newly invented and most all fine jewelry with small accent stones consisted of these "modern" marvels. Actually synthetics are exactly the same as sapphires, only man created rather than by nature.

Date: Circa 1930.
