Story

The image carved on this tiger’s eye hard stone gem would not be out of place on the wall of an ancient Greek temple or as an amulet around the neck of an ancient wealthy government official. Carved in the round in oval form, the face of a bearded and mustachioed man stares out with a powerful gaze. The image evokes a strength and fortitude of a Greek god. Bezel set in 10k rose gold, the golden brown hard stone beckons with a knowing look.

Date: Circa 1920.
