Story

In the late 20's and 1930's, one of the most statement making jewels was the bracelet. Often layered in multitudes, every star and starlet wore them up and down the wrist. A stellar choice is this medium width emerald diamond wrist bauble. All of platinum it is encrusted with over 6 carats of diamond and 2 carats of natural emeralds.

First, for the diamonds...146 old European cut diamonds are carefully set within a variety of geometric designed links. Most bracelets have repetition of the same one or two links over and over. Not so here. Seven different links in all making up a variety of patterns and two clasp links. The largest diamond weighs in at about .17 carats down to the smallest accent stones at .01 carats. Their coloration all reads in the white range to the eye (I-K color, VS2-SI1 clarity).

Thirty luscious vivid green emeralds dot 18 of the links and add that Art Deco vibrancy and verve to the whole. Meticulous workmanship in evident in looking not only a the front but at the reverse as well. An ingenious safety clasp for security is part of the clasp. Tallulah Bankhead used her diamond bracelet in the movie "Lifeboat" to try to save lives including her own! This one will certainly save your from being anything but blasé.

Date: Circa 1930.
